The Arduino UNO R4 WiFi blends the power of Renesas's RA4M1 microcontroller with the wireless capabilities of Espressif's ESP32-S3. It includes features like a 12x8 LED matrix, Qwiic connector, VRTC, and OFF pin, supporting a wide array of project needs. This board provides a seamless upgrade path from the UNO R3, maintaining the same form factor, pinout, and 5V compatibility, so existing shields and projects are fully compatible. With increased memory and a faster clock, the UNO R4 WiFi manages complex tasks effortlessly and enhances performance for intricate projects.
It also introduces new peripherals, including a 12-bit DAC, CAN BUS, and OP AMP, expanding design options. With 24V input tolerance, the board powers motors, LEDs, and other devices from a single source. HID support allows the UNO R4 WiFi to simulate a keyboard or mouse when connected to a computer, and the ESP32-S3 enables Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity, offering remote control via Arduino IoT Cloud.
Additional features include a Qwiic I2C connector, support for a battery-powered Real-Time Clock, a bright LED matrix for animations or data visualization, and built-in error diagnostics. With these enhanced capabilities in the familiar UNO format, it's a versatile choice for both new and upgraded projects
