Electrical Symbols: Part One

Electrical Symbols: Part One

Electrical symbols are used to represent various electrical/electronics devices or functions in a diagram of an electrical circuit.

These are standardised internationally by IEEE and BS. However it is possible in older circuit diagams that some symbols have been preceded - therefore it is important to take care when you are uncertain.

We will continue to add more and more symbols to this blog for you to get to grips with!
